US Underfloor Testing System_ Movable
The aim of the sub-floor test facility is, using a mobile plant mounted in the track, to inspect automatically all mounted wheels of a train in accordance with the general state testing requirements and to view or/ and save the results.
From the testing of individual areas, such as outer running surface or rim, longitudinal, transverse and volume error can be detected and the forthcoming maintenance arrangements can be defined.
The offered Underfloor test facility is not only to target improved wheelset maintenance, but also to recognize the position of the wheel and the driven distance valuable information in consideration of the weak - point analysis of abnormal wheel wearing.
This is usable to reach an economically affordable and a high life-cycle of the wheelset while simultaneously keeping up to high security requirements.
The measurement results are displayed graphically on a display or in tabular form. Tolerance Deviations are highlighted and color-coded. The data is stored and can be exported via different interfaces.
US Underfloor Testing System_Stationary
he aim of the stationery mounted in the track plant is to inspect automatically all wheels of a start-stop shunted train in accordance with the general state testing requirements and to view respectively to save the results.
From the testing of individual areas, such as thread, rim or flange longitudinal, transverse, volume and surface errors can be defined via the forthcoming maintenance arrangements.
The offered Underfloor test facility is not only to target improved wheelset maintenance, but also to recognize the position of the wheel and the driven distance valuable information in consideration of the weak - point analysis of abnormal wheel wearing.
Innovative characteristics:
• Automatic operation
• Simultaneous testing of 4 wheels in the bogie
• Robotic probe coupling or coupling with 4 arms for each wheel
• The train is clocked by a shunter from bogie to bogie
• Testing of bogies with different wheel bases
• Acoustic signal for the operator if crack is found in the wheel
• Use of phased array ultrasonic technology is possible
• Option - increased safety of the test results by local immersion technique
Inspection Function
The device is located stationary in a pit. The operator enters the name and type of train.
The train will be requested by traffic lights into the system. In this case the operator can choose whether all or only a part of wheelsets of a train must be checked. With the help of a shunting will be the bogie of the train positioned over the plant. Here again the traffic lights help to the shunter to drive to position the bogie on the right place.
After that the wheelsets of a bogie are lifted about 10 mm and the testing probes are coupled. The test starts. If during the test some indications will be found, the operator will be called by an acoustic signal for evaluation.
If no cracks are found, then the tested bogie is automatically let down and the system requests next bogie.
The shunter clocked the train bogie by bogie until it is completely checked. Afterwards a train protocol is generated, where the results to each wheel are presented. The system optional allows testing of train with different wheelbases of bogie or with different bogies
he measurement results are displayed graphically on a display or in tabular form. Tolerance deviations are highlighted and color-coded. The data is stored and can be exported via different interfaces. The total overview of the train and condition of its wheels is also displayed.
